Announcing the 2026 Ohio Community Theatre Association's (OCTA) Northeast Ohio Theater Festival!

When? Saturday. June 20
Where? Hudson, OH at the lovely Barlow Community Center (41 South Oviatt St) - home of the Hudson Players
Who? Theaters from NE Ohio will be performing excerpts from their shows
Why? Celebrate community theater and learn how to improve your craft
How much? $20 gets you a whole day of theater (cash, check or Venmo accepted at the door)

7:30am - Registration Opens
8:15am - Festival Kickoff
8:30am -  Silver Lining Players: "Over the River and Through the Woods”
9:30am - Starcatcher Theater: “Louder than Words”
10:30am - Stow Players Inc.: “Four Old Broads on the High Seas”
11:30am - Lunch Break
12:15pm - NE OCTA Delegates Meeting
12:30pm - Announcements
12:40pm - Gates Mills Players, Inc: “It Takes a Village: A Night of One Acts”
1:40pm - Trumbull New Theatre Inc: “Storm Warning”
3:30pm - Awards Ceremony

This festival is adjudicated with 3 OCTA Trained Responders providing verbal critiques of each excerpt immediately after their performance. Responders also determine and award in three levels; Merit, Excellence and Outstanding for acting, directing, ensemble work and more. Plus, 2 of the theaters are selected to perform their excerpt at OCTA's State Conference held over the Labor Day weekend.
