Join us for these two exciting programs -- EMMA GATEWOOD, ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR BLOOMIN' MIND? and GALES OF NOVEMBER Find out if Grandma Gatewood was out of her "bloomin' mind" on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. when we present this one-act play at the CanalWay Center of the Cleveland Metroparks at 4524 E. 49th St. in Cuyahoga Hts., Ohio. This one-act play by Kelly Boyer Sagert will feature Priscilla Kaczuk as Grandma Gatewood -- first woman to solo thru-hike the 2,050-mile Appalachian Trail in 1955 after raising 11 children and surviving domestic abuse. Robert Redford and Nick Nolte may have had a "Walk in the Woods", but Emma said that hiking the Appalachian Trail was NOT for sissies! Find out about her hike in this program that is open to the public at no charge. Come at 7 p.m. and enjoy some "Appalachian Trail" music performed by Foster Brown. Come find out why when we present GALES OF NOVEMBER at the Maritime Museum of Sandusky at 125 Meigs St. in Sandusky on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 1 p.m. Hear the stories of some of the famous (and not-so-famous) sinkings of that treacherous month including the story of the TWO Fitzgeralds.
