Young Filmmakers Academy is dedicated to proving free film education for young storytellers from all walks of life.

Heading into our ninth year, we continue to grow and expand our impact, and are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors.
Position Overview:
We are looking for dynamic and diverse board members who can bring unique perspectives, skills, and experiences to our organization. Board members will play a crucial role in governance, strategic planning, fundraising, and community engagement, helping to guide our mission and ensure the sustainability of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Attend quarterly board meetings and participate in committee work.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the organization.
- Assist in fundraising and resource development efforts.
- Advocate for the organization in the community and network with potential supporters.
- Review and approve policies, budgets, and organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Passion for the arts, arts education film and kid is a must.Previous experience in nonprofit governance, fundraising, or community service is a plus.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other board members and stakeholders.
- Commitment to attending meetings and participating in board activities.
