(Berkshires, MA) Oct 13, 2016 Calling local student dancers to audition to perform side-by-side with the professional company in Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker in ClevelandThe selected children will perform in the Great Russian Nutcracker Dec 17 at the Cleveland Music Hall. Moscow Ballet Soloist and Audition Director Anna Radik will conduct auditions at:
1.     Thurs, Nov 1, 6:00pm at Moscow Ballet local Host Dance Studio Cuyahoga Falls Dance Center,  428 Portage Trail,  Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 
2.     Thurs, Nov 3, 5:30pm at Moscow Ballet’s local Host Dance Studio En Pointe Danse, 516 East Washington Street,  Chagrin Falls, OH  44118
Student dancers, boys and girls, ages 7 to 17 years, and who have at least one year of ballet training, may audition for ancillary roles such as Party Children, Mice, Snowflakes, Angels and more. Anna Radik hails from Kiev in Ukraine and was trained in the Ukraine State Ballet and Choreography School. She performs many roles including the Chinese Variation, Russian Variation, Act I ‘s magical Kissy Doll and the demanding acro-balletic Arabian Variation. Canada’s Calgary Herald Dance Critic Stephan Bonfield comments, “The standout Arabian Variation pas de deux, [was] danced breathtakingly beautifully by Anna Radik and Artem Kadurin, with sinewy grace and exquisitely contortioned smoothness of line.” Click for more

Host Dance Studio: Our goal is to provide En Pointe Danse students with a strong technical foundation in ballet, and other dance forms, while encouraging a joy for dancing that they will take with them wherever they go. We want our students to be able to apply the lessons learned in dance, such as discipline, perseverance, creative thinking and a developed sense of physical well-being, to the rest of their lives. Host Dance Studio: Cuyahoga Falls Dance Center strives to foster self-confidence, physical fitness, and artistic expression in our students. Students work hard, accept corrections gracefully, feel beautiful, and challenge themselves to move to music. The studio witnesses their personal growth as they learn to interact with one another with courtesy and respect. Students are encouraged to give back to the community that has supported their endeavors and to become role models of accomplishments and integrity. Dance with Us brings a professional, live ballet performance experience to over 5,000 student dancers in the US and Canada each year since 1994. Local student dancers ages 7 to 17 audition and rehearse with Moscow Ballet Audition directors who travel to each town eight weeks before the performance. The auditions are open to student dancers from all studios and they are free. (There is a casting fee for participation). Julia Zhmutski of Julia’s Dance Academy in Oklahoma City said, “It was such an amazing opportunity for our young dancers to learn and grow and see how a professional company works.
