Brush “Soundsation” Show Choir has an open Assistant Director position available for the upcoming 2017-2018 season. We are looking for someone who truly loves and understands the art of show choir, and desires to be involved in all aspects of a group. This is a part-time stipend position.

Duties Include:

· Attending bi-weekly evening rehearsals and assisting with all aspects including:

o Leading Vocal Rehearsals and Sectionals.

o Cleaning Choreography and Staging.

· Participating in weekly Director planning meetings.

· Attending all special rehearsals, (i.e. Tech Weeks, Monthly Saturday rehearsal, etc)

· Chaperoning group events.

· Fulfilling specific administrative duties.

Required Qualifications:

· Experience with a Show Choir. This can be as a Director, Choreographer, Dance Captain or member.

· Proficient Musician. Able to read music.

· Extensive knowledge on Show Choir Vocals and Choreography.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Reliable Transportation.

Preferred Qualifications.

· Piano playing ability.

· Experience directing a choral group.

· Multiple years of show choir experience.

· Experience with the Hip Hop style of dance.

· Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs.
