WHAT

Voice and Movement – The Actor’s Toolkit is an in-person after-school theatre program where youth explore the essential skills every actor needs to perform with confidence and creativity. This fall, young artists will focus on voice, movement, and imagination which are core tools of the actor. Participants will build vocal strength, physical expressiveness, and ensemble awareness through theatre games, improvisation, and monologue practice, sharpening their ability to tell compelling stories and make bold, fresh choices on stage. The session culminates in a live showcase for friends and family. CAN Academy’s performing arts programs foster academic success, empathy, responsibility, and creative thinking which are skills that last a lifetime.

This program is offered at NO COST, thanks to the Cleveland Foundation. All classes are in person on-site at Cleveland Public Theatre. Young artists must follow our health and safety protocols, which are informed by the CDC guidelines. Any updates to our health and safety protocols will be communicated to our CAN families in a timely manner.
