 Scene Study Acting Class (Beginner-Friendly)

                                        WITH MARC MORITZ

Pittsburgh, PA 15201

This class is perfect for actors who are new to scene work or returning to the stage after time away. You’ll learn the building blocks of strong acting through partner work, text analysis, and character exploration.

With supportive coaching and group exercises, students will practice how to:

Break down a script into playable actions

         Build truthful, believable characters

            Connect authentically with scene partners
Perform with confidence in front of others

No prior professional experience required—just curiosity, courage, and a willingness to explore. This is a safe, creative space where risks are encouraged and growth is celebrated.

In this dynamic and collaborative class, actors dive deeply into the craft of performance through focused scene work. Each participant will be paired with a partner and assigned scenes from contemporary plays, chosen to challenge their strengths and expand their range.

The class emphasizes text analysis, emotional truth, character development, and partner connection—the core skills that bring a scene to life. Actors will learn to break down scripts, uncover subtext, and make bold choices that serve both the story and their own authentic artistry.

Whether you’re preparing for auditions, building confidence on stage/screen, or refining your craft, this course provides the tools and practice to deepen your work as an actor.
