The Youngstown Playhouse announces auditions for its first Grifith-Adler Series production of the 2016-2017 season, Extremities, by William Mastrosimone.

Auditions will be held on TUESDAY, JULY 26th and WEDNESDAY, JULY 27th from 6 - 8 pm at The Youngstown Playhouse. The production is directed by Timothy R. Thomas.

Cast requirements for Extremities include 3 women and 1 man, ages 21+.

Performance dates for Extremities are October 7 - 15, 2016.

SYNOPSIS:

A young woman, Marjorie, is attacked in her home by a would-be rapist named Raul.
Marjorie's roommates, Terry and Patricia come home to discover that Marjorie has been assaulted and has subdued her attacker.
As the group determines the fate of Raul, each expresses an extremely different point of view about rape in society based on their individual life experiences. What follows is a dynamic look at how society defines sexuality, equality, humanity, savagery, vengeance, and justice.

Those auditioning are asked to prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary dramatic monologue AND will be reading from sides which will be provided in advance.
