IN OUR OWN WORDS : OUR STORIES, OUR VOICES, is a series that Nicole Sumlin (SumMedia Productions) along with Ensemble Theatre Executive Artistic Director Celeste Cosentino started VIRTUALLY during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is our fourth episode and only our second in-person offering, but the heart of the series remains the same: we are lifting Black stories crafted by Black voices, both nationally known and locally grown! This year will be presenting staged productions of the two pieces we presented virtually in our first episode.

When a housewife comes to the end of her rope with her abusive husband, she doesn't expect him to spontaneously combust. Now she has a pile of ashes on the floor, and a life to reclaim!

THE BOMB By Lisa Langford
Two ex-lovers run into each other while at a Black Lives Matter protest.
