Western Reserve Playhouse will present Lion King, Jr. and Into the Woods, Jr. as part of its Young Artists’ Theatre Program. Lion King, Jr. will run June 22-24 and Into the Woods, Jr. will run June 29-July 1.
The show will be directed by Artistic Director Dawn Sniadak-Yamokoski, with Musical Direction by Adam Ferenbach.
Into the Woods, Jr.
(with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine) centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would
give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse and wind up changed forever.
Directed by Lisa Howard, with Musical Direction by Adam Howard.
