PLOT: The misadventures of enthusiastic and slightly naive medical student James Rigby in his position as an apprentice to Oliver Cross, an unconventional coroner in South London.
This dark comedy series stars Cedric Gegel in the title role, reprising his character from the film “A Murder Party” (2016).
LEAD ROLES
JAMES RIGBY (Cedric Gegel), a young medical student who responds to an advertisement posted by a coroner seeking an apprentice. He is enthusiastic and slightly naïve.
OLIVER CROSS (Male, 30’s—50’s), a coroner in South London and self-described “scavenger” who also runs a lucrative cadaver business which he hides from the police. He is cunning, gruff, and disdainful of authority figures.
THOMAS (Male, mid-20’s—early 30’s), a resurrection man who works for Oliver Cross, providing him with bodies to dissect to sell body parts and organs to medical students and universities. He is quiet, morose, and brooding.
MARY CROSS (Female, 20’s), Oliver’s niece, a smart-mouthed young woman who is also familiar with the streets. She longs to work with her uncle, to his annoyance.
Auditions for “The Coroner’s Assistant” will be held at 15022 Madison Avenue, Lakewood from 9 am – 5 pm on Saturday, July 29th and Sunday, July 30th.
