HOMOS, OR EVERYONE IN AMERICA

by Jordan Seavey

OPENS THIS FRIDAY AT CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM

Unfolding like jumbled snippets of memory, Homos, or Everyone in America is told through interweaving glimpses, jumping around among moments over a five year period in the relationship of a contemporary couple. What does it mean to be in a committed relationship? Is monogamy just monotony? If navigating this isn’t complicated enough, what can happen when, on top of everything else, the couple is unexpectedly confronted by a vicious hate crime?  Homos is a fearless, often funny, openly emotional examination of the moments that can bring two people together – or pull them apart.

“A daringly frank, funny and affecting new play. Mr. Seavey’s portrait of young gay New Yorkers negotiating the sometimes thorny nature of love and intimacy has an arresting, even bruising honesty.”   -The New York Times

“Seavey is dealing with very large ideas that have bedeviled the gay ‘community’ – and everybody else – forever. “   -New York Magazine
