Actors will be paid a $500 stipend and college students are also eligible for Work-Based Learning Credit.

New Kid is the story of Nick, a young boy from an imaginary country called Homeland who moves to the United States with his family. There, he struggles with his fear of a new culture and language as well as hostile classmates who taunt him for being different. The spirit of youth prevails over differences in color and culture, promoting the message that in the end, kids are all the same.
MOTHER- (18+ female, any ethnicity) Nick's Mother. Kind & Warm.
NICK- (18+ male to play a child, any ethnicity) A boy who moves to the USA from the imaginary country of Homeland.
MENCH- (18+ female to play a child, any ethnicity) A girl who befriends Nick.
MUG- (18+ male to play a child, any ethnicity) A boy who is reluctant to accept his new classmate, Nick.
