Who Can Audition?

Any students between the ages of 14-19 years old, who have reached an advanced level of classical ballet training, and is currently training at a classical ballet institution.

Training

Under the Artistic Direction of Gladisa Guadalupe, Associate Artistic Director, Tuni Deignan, and Ballet Master, Cynthia Graham, members of the CBYC will participate in a well-balanced schedule of classes and rehearsals that will include: classical ballet technique, pointe, variations, character and modern.  In addition and to compliment the ballet curriculum, classes on pilates, yoga, injury prevention and preparation, and guidance for auditions are also implemented.

Choreography

Members of the CBYC will be exposed to and work closely with artistic faculty of Cleveland Ballet Company as well as other noted choreographers.

Performances

Members will obtain performance experience through outreach performances, in studio presentations, as well as theatre performances. Students will have the opportunity to performance at such venues as Playhouse Square, Severance Hall, Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Institute of Music, among others.
