Job Title: Marilyn Bianchi Kids’ Playwriting Festival (MBKPF) Education Associate
 
The Marilyn Bianchi Kids’ Playwriting Festival in the oldest Young Playwrights competition in the United States. It is open exclusively to Cuyahoga County students in 1st through 12th Grades. The Festival, which takes place the first weekend of June at Dobama Theatre, is currently entering its 38th year. 

Position Description:
The MBKPF Education Associate is a part-time, year-round position that will be responsible for promoting the MBKPF; creating and developing partnerships for future outreach programs; and be the primary contact for Cuyahoga County educators.

This is a grant-funded position. The person hired would be responsible for writing and submitting a monthly update detailing their progress and achievements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The MBKPF Education Associate should have broad knowledge and experience in professional and educational theatre, excellent organizational and writing skills and the ability to work with both adults and children. The Associate should have problem-solving capabilities and have an enthusiasm for nurturing children’s creativity. Grant writing experience a plus.
 
 
Preferred Education and Experience

The employee would be required to have a minimum of 10 contact hours per week at the Dobama Theatre offices.
