BROADVIEW HEIGHTS HOME DAYS ON THE GREEN
HAS LIVE ENTERTAINMENT ALL WEEKEND
 
The City of Broadview Heights will host its annual “HOME DAYS ON THE GREEN” Thursday through Sunday, July 9-12, 2015 at the Broadview Center, 9543 Broadview Road.  Admission and parking are free, and there will be fireworks on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 10:00 PM.
 
The event features live entertainment throughout the weekend as well as a nearby beer garden to relax and enjoy the music. The “Dan Zola Orchestra” and its big band sound will perform on Thursday from 7:00-10:00PM. On Friday, the rock-n-roll band “Out of Order” will perform from 7:00-9:00PM, followed by the crowd-pleaser “Rock-n-Robots” from 9:00-10:00PM.  Saturday’s entertainment line-up includes “Georgia and the Preachers” (country/pop/rock) from 5:00-6:30PM and the cover band “The Beams” from 7:30-11:00PM. The “Drew Murray” magic show will take place Sunday from 4:00-5:00PM, followed by the “Academy Irish Dance Company” at 5:00PM. From 5:30-7:00 “Rock-On DJ” Gary Perl will get the party rolling with several fun activities, including the popular pizza-eating contest.  “Steel Woody” closes the festival (7:00-11:00PM) with its classic contemporary sound.
 
New this year is a Petting Zoo sponsored by Faulhaber Funeral Home. It will be open Saturday and Sunday from 3:00-6:00PM. There will also be kite-making and flying activities, the police dog demonstration Saturday at 7:00PM, and the ever-popular Pick-a-Prize Raffle and Silent Auction.  A Schedule of Activities is available on the city website: http://www.broadview-heights.org/450/Entertainment-and-Activities
 
The Broadview Heights Community Foundation is sponsoring its annual charity casino with the support of the Knights of Columbus Council 14406. It will be held in the Community Building on Friday and Saturday 6-11PM. In addition to open table games, there will be a Texas Hold’em Tournament at 7PM both evenings.
 
Big O Amusements will provide rides for all ages. Ride-all-Day wrist bands will be available for $20 per person. Single tickets are $1 each (rides require 3-4 tickets).
In a foodcourt-type setting, 20 food vendors will be offering their specialties. The Broadview Heights firefighters  are also sponsoring their annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning during the annual 5K and 1 Mile Walk/Run.
