The Department of Theatre & Dance at Baldwin Wallace University presents William Shakespeare's As You Like It, directed by Christine McBurney
When her uncle the Duke banishes her from the court, Rosalind and her cousin Celia set out for the Forest of Arden. For protection, Rosalind disguises herself as a man who ends up teaching her beloved Orlando how to woo her. Rosalind's father, also banished by her usurping uncle, also happens to be in the forest with his courtiers alongside a charming mix of country bumpkins and a melancholy court ex-pat named Jaques.
Gender. Wit. Clowning. Romance. Violence. Education. Status. Nature vs. Nurture. Town vs. Country. Music. Dancing. Intrigue. All the world's a stage. Something for everyone. As you like it.
