AUDITION NOTICE FOR AKRON CIVIC THEATRE’S
MILLENNIAL THEATRE PROJECT

Looking for actors 18 years of age (must be out of high school) through 40 years of age. Non-Union. Unpaid.

Casting for:
SISTER ACT, THE LARAMIE PROJECT, NEXT TO NORMAL,
(IN)DEPENDENT: THE HEROIN PROJECT AND MUSICAL TBD FOR AUGUST 29 – 31

AUDITION LOCATION: Akron Civic Theatre - 182 S. Main St., Akron, OH 44308

AUDITION DATES: Sunday, April 7, 2019 and Thursday, April 11, 2019
AUDITION TIMES: 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
CALL BACKS FOR ALL SHOWS: Monday, April 15, 2019 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Please note –You can audition & be cast in multiple shows! Some casting restrictions for multiple shows may apply based on the rehearsal schedule.

SHOW INFORMATION:
Sister Act: Performances are June 27 – 29, Rehearsals start week of May 19
The Laramie Project: Performances are July 11 – 13, Rehearsals start week of June 2
Next to Normal: Performances are July 25 – 27, Rehearsals start week of June 23
(In) Dependent: The Heroin Project: Performances are August 16 – 17, Rehearsals start week of July 14
Additional Musical TBD: Performances are August 29 – 31, Rehearsals start week of July 28

WHAT TO PREPARE: 5-minute increments. Prepare two 16 bar songs of your choice in the style of the shows (if auditioning for the musicals). All songs will be performed acapella. Also prepare a 60 second monologue.
