Drawing with Colored Pencils Session 1 (Visual Arts)

Ages 10 & up   

Instructor: Sandy D’Amico   

Cost: $75 member, $82.50 nonmember

Days: Wednesdays, 7-9pm—AUG 12, 19, 26; SEPT 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; OCT. 7   

Location: Arts Center

Come and enjoy creating new artwork using colored pencils in a fun, relaxing atmosphere! Students will learn various techniques and how to apply those techniques to a variety of subjects. Students will also receive individual instruction on their projects.

Little Women (Advanced Drama)

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (Drama Class) 

Ages: 11-17  

Instructor: Angela Miloro-Hansen    

Cost: 90.00 members, 99.00 non-members

Days: Thursdays, 4-6pm—SEPT. 3, 17, 24; OCT. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; 

No class SEPT.10, Show  Wed. NOV. 4 @7:30pm (4-6 rehearsal first)   

Location: Theater

For intermediate and advanced students. Join Susan, Peter, Lucy and Edmund as they venture through Narnia and meet Aslan, the White Witch and more.  Class will result in a performance for family and friends.

 

Sound Basics (Theater Skills) 

Ages 12 and up  

Instructor: Lisa-Marie French   

Cost: 60.00 members, 66.00 non-member

Location: Theater

Learn how to work with sound programs to begin as a sound apprentice. Help develop some sound effects for The Addams Family while working with the sound designer. Skills may be used in class shows or main stage productions as you learn.

               

Twilight Zone (Teen Homeschool Drama) 

Ages: 12-17

Just in time for Halloween, explore your  spooky side with three short old school scary dramas. All scripts are appropriate for teens. The spook lies in the psychological, not the gore! Class will result in a performance for family and friends.

                 

Animals in Stitches (Visual Arts) 

Ages 8 & up

Animals in Stitches; Session 2 : 

Wednesdays, 4-6m—Nov. 4, 11, 18, 25, Dec. 2, 9, 16   

Location: Arts Center

Students will begin by hand sewing a stuffed animal pillow. Other hand sewing projects will include owls, birds and fish. Different techniques and embellishments will be learned. (Each session will have different projects)

 

Homeschoolers: We Come From Everywhere (Musical Theater Class)

Ages 6-12

America is indeed the melting pot of the world. Where did your ancestors come from? Explore the reasons people left their homelands to settle in America. We’ll create a lobby display of our roots and do a musical performance after the last class.

 

Friendship Forest (Drama Class)

Make friends while learning theater basics as you work on two classic tales of friends helping friends, the Brennen Town Musicians, and The Lion and The Mouse. Performance and reception at final class.

 

Character Building (Drama Class) 

Ages 16 and up  

Instructor: Evan Graham

Days: Fridays, 4-6pm—SEPT. 18, 25, OCT. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, NOV. 6, 13, 20   

Location: Arts Center

Students will learn advanced acting techniques to create vibrant, relatable and engaging characters on stage.  Learn or improve techniques, basic script analysis and Stanislavski’s acting process.

 

The Mysterious Case of the Missing Ring (Drama Class) 

Ages: 8-13  

Instructor: Michelle Kuch  

Cost: 100.00 members, 110.00 non-members

Days: Thursdays, SEPT. 24, OCT. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, NOV. 5, 12, 19, 4:30-6  

Performance NOV. 19 @ 7pm

The royal ring is missing, and the queen won’t sleep until the royal detectives (all 13 of them!) find it. As they scour the Queendom in search of the royal ring, the chatty maids follow the harried queen around while the devious butler spouts suspiciously evil laughs every time a clue goes awry.  In this fast-paced, madcap mystery, students will develop character

and learn the fun of performing!

 

Tech Basics (Theater Skills)

Ages 12 & up

Days: Tuesdays 4:30-5:30pm—OCT. 6, 13, 20, 27   

Location: Theater

Learn how to become a spot, sound and light board operator.  Use these skills with a goal to work in a class or main stage show after completion.

Hang out with Robin Hood and friends in this fun, quirky script. All experience levels welcome. Everyone will have a

The Holiday Show (Musical Drama Class) 

Ages 7-12

A lively and humorous musical about many winter holidays, including Christmas, celebrated around the world. Moose is confused and baffled so his woodland friends sing and dance to show him the joy of the season. Class will result in a performance for family and friends.

 

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Drama Class) Instructor approval required 

Ages 10-17
