Three
roles are pre-cast and are noted below.
5
Men - 3 Women
Isaiah
Sandoval - Mid 30s to late 40s. A dreamer. A writer. A troubled soul.
Coconut
Joe - Mr. Sandoval as his own central character in the story he's
writing.
Rose
- Mid-Late 20s. Isaiah's caregiver. Older than her age but younger
than her mind.
Little
Junior - A hotel employee. Similarly Youngish with an odd mix of wisdom &
naivety.
Helena
Skate - The Hotel Manager - Mid to late 30s. Sharp. Compassionate.
Lonely.
Harold
Schwarzberg - an Artist - pre-cast.
Leon
Vole - a traveling puppeteer - pre-cast.
Tanya
Vole - another of the same & his wife - pre-cast.
Isaiah
and his "nurse" have taken up residence in a once grand but
now literally crumbling ruin of a hotel on an eastern peninsula. They
share the residence with an odd collection of employees, philosophers
and vagabonds. As we are drawn into Isaiah's writing, we see the
people in his present life appear as the nearly thirty odd characters
in his book. A wild, crazy and truly seductive adventure, in both
story lines!
