GCA is holding a second round of auditions to fill several roles in its summer production of
Taming of the Shrew!
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals to begin May 10th.
Will be held at the Chardon LDS Church, and at Big Creek Park, depending on weather and needs of the production.
Some initial rehearsals/read through/table work will potentially be done via zoom/teams.
In-Person Auditions:
Monday, March 9th - 6:00PM - 8:00PM

Auditionees should prepare a minute long comedic monologue in the style of Shakespeare.
Video Auditions:
If you cannot attend auditions in-person, you may submit a video audition.

Katherine- Eldest daughter to Baptista Minola (female identifying; late 20s-early 30s)
Bianca- Youngest daughter to Baptista Minola (female identifying; min 18- mid 20s)
Baptista Minola- Father (Parent) to Katherine & Bianca
Petruchio- Suitor to Katherine
Gremio- Suitor to Bianca
Hortensio- Suitor to Bianca
Lucentio-Suitor to Bianca
Vincentio- Lucentio’s Father (Parent)
Tranio- Servant to Lucentio (later disguised as Lucentio)
Biondello- Servant to Lucentio
Merchant - (later disguised as Vincentio)
Grumio- Servant to Petruchio
Various Servants to Petruchio & Baptista- willing to double as needed
Any race, gender, age, body type, or other identities are encouraged to audition and will be considered equally in casting.
At the time of auditions all roles are available unless otherwise stated in marketing announcements regarding auditions.
