Following up on
their sold-out performances in March, the RSVP
returns with more live, unscripted theatre,
creating characters, dialogue, and story with no
advance planning.
The first half
of the show will consist of a long-form
improvisational structure known as an "Armando."
The audience will suggest a topic that will
inspire our monologist to tell a true personal
story. The troupe members will then deconstruct
that story, mining it for ideas to inspire scenes.
The monologist will return with additional true
stories throughout the piece.
The second half
of the show will consist of short-form improvised
scenes, each of which will follow a different set
of rules that will affect the players' behavior in
some way; players may be forced to translate from
gibberish or answer audience questions in
character. Their singing abilities will be tested
as well.
Both the
long-form structure and most the of the short-form
games will be new to audiences who attended the
debut performances.

Charles Addams'
lovable oddballs find their way from 1930s comics,
1960s TV, and 1990s film, to the stage in this
2010 Broadway hit, featuring Tony-nominated music
and lyrics by Andrew Lippa.
In this
family-friendly musical comedy, daughter Wednesday
Addams has grown up and fallen in love with a
sweet, smart young man from a respectable "normal"
family. She confides in her father and begs him
not to tell her mother, but Gomez has never kept a
secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.
Everything will
change on the fateful night the family hosts a
dinner for the boyfriend and his parents.

This endearing
dramatic comedy about the lives, loves, and
struggles of six Tennessee sisters, now spread
about the country, is told through a series of
phone calls. "The Reunion" is a sequel to Dunn's
original "Belles," which CVLT presented in 2012,
and picks up the Walker sisters' lives 25 years
later.
This new
production comes to CVLT's River Street Playhouse
stage with many of the women who appeared in the
2012 original reprising their roles!

of the theater's already-packed calendar, has been
created to recognize the actors, staff, board
members and others who keep the almost entirely
volunteer-run organization moving.
The plans for
the inaugural 'Audrey Awards' include a 'red
carpet' welcome reception at 6:45 PM, featuring
champagne and hors d'oeuvres, and the ceremony
itself begins at 7:30. Awards will be given to
actors, directors, and volunteers, plus special
awards for unique contributions to the
organization.
Following the
ceremony, a reception will be held. Wine and beer
will be available at a cash bar.
