“The Importance of Being Earnest” 

Auditions December 15-16 6-8pm

We are a small community theater, all actors, Stage crew and all involved are volunteers. No compensation for any position. 

Practices will be  6-8pm Tuesday Thursday & Saturday

Performances February 9-11 & 16-18. — Friday & Saturday at 7pm and Sunday 230

Synopsis: 

Jack Worthing has created a false brother named Earnest who lives in the city, in order to organize escapes from his country estate.

While living as Earnest in the city, Jack has fallen in love with the cousin of his friend Algernon, and plans to marry her. 

Algernon, upon learning of Jack’s double life, decided to con Jack by returning to Jack’s country estate under the identification of Earnest - Jack’s brother. While in residence there, he falls in love with Jack’s ward, Cecily. 

The story unfolds as lies become tangled and both supposed “brothers” must discover the Importance of Being Earnest.
