Youngstown, Ohio- The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is holding auditions for Into the Woods, in collaboration with The Hopewell Theatre.  Auditions will be held at The Hopewell Theatre (702 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502) on August 13 from 12-3pm, August 15 from 6-9pm. Rehearsals are projected to begin on August 16. All performers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the first day of rehearsals. Those who have received their two-dose vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer) more than six months ago will be required to get a booster shot. Those who have received their one dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson) will be required to receive a second dose. Proof of vaccination will be required before the first rehearsal.

Into the Woods performs September 30, October 1-2, 7-9 at The Hopewell Theatre with rehearsals running M-F from 6-9pm.

Auditioners (ages 16+) should prepare a 30-60 second cut of a song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. There will also be a cold read from the script. All roles are open. Into the Wood’s story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
