Avenue Arts Marketplace & Theatre announces auditions for FOR COLORED GIRLS 

Located at 324 Cleveland Ave. NW Canton, Ohio 44702

SYNOPSIS: This groundbreaking "choreopoem" is a spellbinding collection of vivid prose and free verse narratives about and performed by Black women. Capturing the brutal, tender and dramatic lives of contemporary Black women, For Colored Girls... offers a transformative, riveting evening of provocative dance, music and poetry.

Auditions will be held July 17th and 18th from 7-9pm.

Emails regarding callbacks will be sent Wednesday evening and callbacks will be held on July 19th at 7pm. If this date does not work for you, please contact Breanna Morton at bmorton2@kent.edu to reschedule a time. 

All auditioners are asked to come prepared to cold read from the script. We also ask that you bring a current headshot/resume. 

Rehearsals will begin July 22nd and will generally run Sun-Thursday evenings.

Show dates are September 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd at 8pm and September 16th at 2pm.
