Murder by the Falls kicks off each new season at CVLT with an original audience-participation comedy/mystery. Money raised from this highly popular event goes to the general operating expenses of the theatre. Audience "detectives" are grouped 8 per squad. You may choose your fellow detectives when ordering tickets, or your Chief (aka CVLT) will assign your partners for you. You and your team will compete for prizes by taking notes during Act 1, searching the Village for clues, interviewing characters, and helping our intrepid detective to solve the crime!

This year's original mystery, Is There A Doctor In The House? by Greta and Andrew Rothman, parodies your favorite TV hospital dramas with a clinically silly sendup that will leave you in stiches! When the Director of Saint Chagrin General County University Memorial Clinic Hospital is brought into his own emergency room after a mysterious (but seemingly innocuous) fainting episode, everyone is worried. But when he suddenly dies of an apparent heart attack, everyone in the E.R. becomes a suspect!

IMPROV TROUPE AUDITIONS

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is seeking actors for a new improvisational theatre ensemble (working title - Riverside Valley Players). The troupe will present both "Whose Line…"-style games and Chicago-style long form structures such as the Armando and the Deconstruction. Directed by Tracy Cubbal

Performances will begin in spring 2016. Actors must be at least 16 years of age and available for weekly rehearsals.

Auditions will be Sunday, September 20 at 2 p.m. in CVLT's Red Barn Annex at 38 River Street, Chagrin Falls, immediately next to the main CVLT building. If necessary, callbacks will be Monday September 21. Headshots and acting resumes are appreciated but not required. Come dressed for movement.

FALL YOUTH THEATRE

Grades 1 - 3:
Saturdays 9/19- 10/25, 9:00 – 10:45 ($125)
Performances: 10/24 & 10/25 at 2:00

Students prepare two short Halloween plays presented as part of the Ghosts, Goblins, and Gobbledygook program held on CVLT's main stage. There will be one evening rehearsal held during the week prior to the show – Wednesday, October 21st at 5:30-7:30.

Grades 4 - 5:
Saturdays 9/19 -11/15, 11:00-12:50 ($150)
Final Performances: 11/14 and 11/15 at 2:00

Students will rehearse and perform a one act play chosen specifically for their class. There will be a few additional rehearsals planned according to the students' availability during the two weeks before the play. There will be an added rehearsal on Nov 14th at 9:30 a.m. Performances will be held in the River Street Playhouse.

Teen Class: (grades 6 through 12)
Saturdays 9/19 - 11/15, 1:15-3:15 ($150)
Performances: 11/14 and 11/15 at 2:00
