Andy & Me is a play inspired by the unique relationship between iconic New York artists Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol.
With New York City's burgeoning 1980s hip-hop scene as the backdrop, the play follows a homeless graffiti artist through his journey to legitimize street art. In his search for inspiration, the artist learns that a muse can take many forms, particularly in the case of an unlikely mentor named Andy. Blending humorous insights and heartbreaking realities, Andy & Me is a story that displays the limitless possibilities of our ambitions.
The play is written by Stu Pflaum and directed by James Rankin.
Tickets are FREE for all performances. All donations will go directly to the Tri-C student drama club. Donations of non-perishable foods and toiletries will also be accepted at the door for the Tri-C Student Food Bank.
