BEREA, OH – The Department of
Theatre and Dance at Baldwin Wallace University presents Stupid F##king Bird
(Sort
of Adapted from The Seagull by Anton Chekhov) by Aaron Posner, directed by new directing faculty member
René Copeland.
Love is so f##king hard. So is making art. An aspiring playwright
aches to make theatre an agent of change, in revolt against the commercialism
his famous actress mother revels in. Everyone loves someone who loves someone
else, and meanwhile “the world is inconceivably broken”. In this irreverent
remix of The Seagull, no relationship
is spared scrutiny, even the one between actors and audience.
Stupid F##king Bird is presented by special arrangement with
Dramatist’s Play Service, Inc. New York
