This summer, CSF will bring our brand of classical theatre to your neighborhood! First up is Hamlet directed by Dusten Welch (June 24 - July 10). Following the melancholy prince, Moliere’s The Learned Ladies directed by Keira McDonald (July 22 - August 7) takes the stage. Performances are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings at various parks throughout Northeast Ohio.

Auditions for both productions will be held virtually. Please visit the CSF Auditions Page (https://www.cleveshakes.com/auditions) for an Audition Form and link to submit a video. Submit a video of two contrasting monologues (one MUST be Shakespeare). If only auditioning for one production, one monologue is sufficient. Auditions are due by Monday, March 14 at 5 p.m. EST. Invitation only Callbacks will be held March 22 - 24 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at Wizbang! Theatre 2134 Lee Rd. in Cleveland Heights.

Hamlet rehearsals begin in May and run Monday - Thursday evenings with some Saturday/Sunday afternoons. The Learned Ladies rehearsals begin in June and run Monday - Thursday evenings with some Saturday/Sunday afternoons. During performance, both productions travel to a different outdoor venue each evening. All company members are required to help in setting up and striking the set each evening.

All actors will receive a stipend for their performance at the end of each run. All actors and production staff must be fully vaccinated and boosted (if eligible).

The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival practices color and gender blind casting.
