Cleveland, OH October 1, 2018 – Theatre in the Circle is pleased to announce the return of Peter Ekstrom’s musical adaptation of the much-loved O. Henry classic, The Gift of the Magi, December 6th through 9th, 2018. All shows will take place at Judson Manor, 1890 E. 107thStreet in Cleveland, Ohio. Tickets are available in advance online athttp://www.theatreinthecircle.org, or at the door ($20 general admission; $18 seniors 65 and up; $12 students). Theatre in the Circle will welcome The Gift of the Magi’s internationally renowned author and composer Peter Ekstrom for conversations with the audience after the shows at all 5 performances. A native of Cleveland, Ekstrom’s fondest childhood memories are of visits to University Circle.
This magical musical tells the story of a young, impoverished married couple and their abiding love. Della and Jim, newlyweds who struggle to pay rent for their turn-of-the- century New York tenement, have no money for holiday gifts for each other. They each sell their most treasure possession in selfless acts of love. Starring in endearing encore performances:
