Why: Akron Beacon Journal reporter is retiring after writing about Akron for about 40 years
Hi, I’m open to ideas and suggestions from anyone who is interested in this gig. Katie has worked at the Beacon Journal since graduating from college…she most recently wrote about the food scene in Greater Akron, but has reported about everything from police and crime to Goodyear and LeBron James at the Akron Beacon Journal. She is also the step-mother one fo the Black Keys, which might offer some fodder for this, too.
