Synopsis
Some people are born to do great things. Some people change the world. This is the story of the people who sit in class next to those people. And badgers. In this strangely familiar tale, we follow a story we think we know and learn how all of us are truly heroes in our own adventure.

Audition Details
- Location: CVLT's River Street Playhouse (56 River Street)
- 1-hour time slots with 10 people each
- Cold reads from script and improv activities
- Bring theater resume (if available) and headshot/photo
- Video submissions accepted until June 30th if unable to attend
Key Roles Available
- Wayne Hopkins: The hero - uncool but charming, loyal, loves comics and video games
- Oliver Rivers: Math whiz from New Jersey, smart and cerebral
- Megan Jones: Defiant daughter of a dark wizard, desires love and acceptance
- Narrator: Storyteller with British accent, comedy skills essential
- Multiple ensemble roles requiring strong character work and impressions
Rehearsal Timeline
- First read-through: Week of July 27th
- Regular rehearsals: Monday-Thursday 7:30-10:00 PM

Synopsis
Based on the beloved Academy Award-winning film, this hilarious and heartwarming show brings your favorite ogre, donkey, and feisty princess to life on stage. Follow Shrek as he embarks on a quest to reclaim his swamp, encountering a motley crew of fairytale misfits along the way.

IMPORTANT: In-person auditions open to ages 16+ only

- List of conflicts September-December
- One song in show style, 32 bars or less (accompanist provided)
- Dance auditions and script readings at callbacks
