We are holding auditions for Mapleside Farms' 42 Annual Johnny Appleseed Festival. The auditions will take place at Mapleside Farms, 294 Pearl Rd Brunswick Ohio on August 12 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. All actors selected must be available both days of the festival which is held on September 12 (8:30 am to 7:00 pm) and September 13 (9:30 am to 5:00 pm). The actors will be required to memorize a short monologue which will be presented throughout the festival.All actors are treated as independent contractors. Because most of this work is with children, you must be willing to have a background check done. And of course the most important part...this is a paid position.

The following roles are being cast. Annie Oakley (30 to 50 years old, old west frontier woman). Huck Finn ("freckle faced boy” should appear to be 12 to 14 years old). Paul Bunyon(25 to 40 large man over 6' tall, a beard would be a plus). Pocahontas (18 to 25 years old, look is Native American). Mark Twain (50 years old and up, full head of white hair a plus, thin looking). John Henry (25 to 35 years old, African American, extremely good shape). Casey Jones (30 to 40 years old, reminiscent of Irish look). All descriptions above are meant to provide guidance.
