The Millennial Theatre Company Announces 2022-2023 Season Lineup!

The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is thrilled to announce their 2022-2023 Season!  From family favorites to cult classics, MTC couldn’t be more thrilled to announce their first full season after the 2020 pandemic closure. There will be no season tickets or subscriptions for this season; all tickets will be sold individually by show. Ticket sales for each production will open 2 months prior to their respective scheduled performance dates. All tickets will be available at millennialtheatre.org. Tickets for all performances are $20, unless otherwise stated.

Grease the Musical- July 29-31, August 5-7 (at The Youngstown Playhouse)

Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through all the hit songs that have become the soundtrack of a generation!

The Rocky Horror Show - November 5-7 (at The B&O Station in Youngstown)

Back by popular demand after last year’s sell-out run at The B&O, The Rocky Horror Show follows sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.” Featuring the same cast and creative team from our hit 2021 production, this unique, immersive production of Rocky Horror is sure to delight both Rocky Horror aficionados and virgins alike!

Avenue Q- January 2023 (at The Hopewell Theatre)

The laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton, who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that, although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates and their ever-elusive purpose in life. Featuring custom puppets by local puppet designer Lynn Ohle with Out of Hand Puppets! 

The Spongebob Musical - Summer 2023 (Venue TBA Soon!)

The stakes are higher than ever in this dynamic stage musical, as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage and proves once and for all that he is not just a simple sponge. The power of optimism really can save the world! Based on the beloved animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg and featuring original songs by hit artists like Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants and T.I., and more, this musical has something for everyone!
