When an unexpected phone call upsets Alvin (HIV-) and Foss' (HIV+) usual Saturday routine, the couple must navigate a minefield of long suppressed resentments, past histories and hurt feelings. AND ALL THE DEAD, LIE DOWN is a portrait of an interracial, sero-discordant couple at a crossroads, pondering the questions: Is Love enough to sustain a relationship? And is it worth the risk?

Alvin: 30's. White. Affluent. Playwright. HIV-

Foss: 20's. African American. Troubled Past. Educator. HIV+

Danny: 30's. African American. Foss' Brother. Wanderer

 

 

The play will open Friday, July 6 and run Thu-Sat through July 28  (11 performances) at convergence-continuum, Liminis Theater.  Rehearsals will begin May 20. Actors will be paid a stipend for their participation.  (No Equity contracts are available for this production.)

 

Auditions will be scheduled in one-hour blocks.  Email Ismael Lara at ismaellara12@gmail.com  to schedule a time.  There is no need for monologue preparation. Auditions will include readings from the script.
