Convergence-continuum will hold auditions for MASSACRE (SING TO YOUR CHILDREN)
by Jose Rivera SUNDAY, MARCH 26 AT 2:00 PM AT THE LIMINIS THEATER
Convergence-continuum will be holding auditions for Jose Rivera’s Massacre (Sing to Your Children) this coming Sunday, March 26 at its Liminis Theater at 2 pm. Massacre takes place on a chilly fall evening in a small New Hampshire town, where seven friends, in a bloody rampage, have conspired to kill Joe, the town’s Mayor. Magic realism, pulpy horror movie trappings and Greek tragedy mash up in the small town to create a powerful depiction of the use of violence as a response to living under a repressive plutocratic regime, and of our own role in perpetuating the tyranny.
Directed by con-con’s Artistic Director, Clyde Simon, MASSACRE will open Fri, May 19 and run Thu-Sat through June 10. Rehearsals will begin around April 1.
