Synopsis:
An accident from Nadia's young adulthood has wiped away her memory of the last six years. To help her recover, Nadia’s mother frequently takes her to an expansive self-help group. The longer she retains her memory, however, the more Nadia begins to question her involvement in the group.

Character BIOS

Tries to be honest with herself and is always pragmatic, never hesitating to make a decision in which she believes. The honesty is largely undercut, however, by a lingering sense of insecurity about living up to the standards and beliefs set forth by her mother.

[JACOB] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 20-30] [estimated 1-2 days of shooting]

Scraggly facial hair/beard and unkempt hair as a result of living out in the woods in relative isolation.  Has a genuine charm, humility, and intelligence about him, which allows Jacob to skillfully hide his subconscious sense of self-importance. Although he tries to be honest with himself and has good intentions, the trials and tribulations of Jacob’s lonely situation has left him in a constant battle between pride and desperation. 

[NADIA'S MOTHER] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 30-65] [estimated 2-3 days of shooting]

Scrupulous in her principled lifestyle and in her devotion to family. She is good-natured but sometimes allows her deep-seeded fear of the unknown to guide her decisions and beliefs. (note - although not formally named, Nadia's mother features prominently in the screenplay)

Narcissistic but with an undeniable and manipulative charisma, Bauta's extraordinary intelligence and calculated decisions are only stunted by his grandiose self delusions. Who better to lead a self-help group? 

*The film will be shot on a Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera, receive festival distribution, and be edited and distributed to those involved in a timely manner.
