Near West Theatre is in search of crew members to join the back stage VIPs -
Virtually Indispensable People. There have been some incredible people who have supported our productions behind the scenes in the past and we hope you will be able to join that list. Ages 12 and up.
Crew members are expected to work within the Guidelines & Policies of NWT and communicate any conflicts as soon as possible.

There is a need for 20 crew members for this show: stage, props, makeup, sound, costume and lights.

Rehearsals for all crew members begin two weeks before a show’s opening.
·
Tech Week starts with Marathon Sunday, the Sunday before a show’s opening, and includes the following Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. ALL crews are expected at Tech rehearsals.

All crews are expected to attend all performances

The call for crew is 5:30pm for Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances and 1:00 pm for the Sunday performances. There will be crew assignments after the show and everyone is expected to stay to complete these assignments. However,
no one will have to stay more than a ½ hour after the performance.

On closing night, Near West Theatre will host a cast, crew, and band party. The details will be announced. There will also be a strike of the set which will need the help of everyone on that day.
