Huntington Playhouse will hold auditions for its final show, “Christmas At Aunt Ida’s” on Tuesday November 3rd and Wednesday November 4th at 7:30 PM each evening at the theatre. Managing Director Tom Meyrose will direct the show.
Casting requirements are 3 young boys ages 8 to 12, seven (7) women ages 21 to 75, and six men ages 21 to 70. The play is based on a column written by Cleveland Plain Dealer columnist Dick Feagler which told the story of the first Christmas after WWII when the men in the family returned to their Cleveland homes to celebrate their Christmas. Set in Cleveland, this is a sentimental look at a time when Hough Bakery Cakes, street cars, and the Sterling Lindler Tree were all part of the Cleveland Holiday experience. The story was adapted for the stage by Anne McEvoy.
The production will open on December 3 and run through Sunday, December 20th. Not only will this show conclude the 2015 season but will also be the very last show at Huntington Playhouse. Come audition and be part of a very special production.
Huntington Playhouse is located at 28601 Lake Road in Bay Village, Ohio.
