reEMERGEnce is a collection of dances exploring archetypes and the world of the “persona.” Persona comes from the Latin word meaning “mask.” As expected from MorrisonDance, the performance will include a pinch of humor with a scoop of introspection, blending creative contributions from the dancers themselves. The evening will include several intimate duets from MorrisonDance’s repertoire, and four new dances inspired by Jungian personality theory, ranging from reflective to tongue-in-cheek choreography.

Directed and choreographed by Sarah Morrison, contributing artists and performers include David Lenahan, Mawusi Nenonene, Taylor Raines, and Ian Smith, with Molly Haslag and Matthew Robinson returning from Nashville, TN as guest performers.

MorrisonDance is thankful for the use of the Reinberger Auditorium and will follow the guidelines set forth by Talespinner Theatre: All visitors must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
