THEATRE MANAGER POSITION (Part-Time)
Reports to: CVLT President and Executive Committee
Date: February 4, 2021
Summary of Position:
Coordinates the various activities and operations of Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization located in Chagrin Falls, OH.
Essential Functions:- Responsible for Grant writing including finding grants appropriate for CVLT. Assisting with fundraising.
- Responsible for assisting marketing activities under the direction of the Executive Committee and the Marketing & Publicity Committee including group sales and subscription sales.
- Coordinate the use and scheduling of CVLT venues including the Sears River Room, Neff Building, and the River Street Playhouse.
- Maintain the mailing list and email list for CVLT mailings and invitations.
- Assist with the production of the Playbill including invoicing advertisers.
- Liaison between the Box Office and the CVLT Board of Directors.
- Responsible for accounting in QuickBooks for CVLT including receipts, invoices, and tax forms in coordination with the CVLT Treasurer.
- Responsible for computer and telephone operations and the fire alarm system.
- Responsible for Maintenance Staff, Housekeeping activities and maintenance of office, cleaning, and restroom supplies.
- Responsible for the theatre operations including Main Stage, Sears River Room, and River Street Playhouse. Maintain a stock of office and restroom supplies.
- Additional duties as assigned by CVLT President and Executive Committee.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed:- Experience in grant writing and fundraising.
- Experience in dealing with professionals and volunteers at all levels.
- Exposure to and experience in theater operations with a genuine interest in theatre operations.
- Poise and tact in developing successful relationships.
- Flexibility to work varied hours.
- Excellent writing and computer skills including QuickBooks.
- College Degree Required.
