Cain Park Events Master Electrician Location Cleveland Heights, OH Job Type Seasonal Part Time Description Work with touring concert designer or act as touring concert designer to organize load in and load out of a concert. Examples of Duties * Directly responsible to the Events Production Manager, the Operations Manager; work in conjunction with the Theater Production Manager. * In charge of all electrics for Cain Park. * Supervise and assist all electrics load-ins and strikes. This may include the need to tie tour busses into the appropriate power supply. * Coordinate the safe and correct installation of all lighting equipment throughout the Park. * Tie in, as needed, any additional dimming or control equipment. * Supervise and focus all Cain Park light plots. You may also be called upon to design a house repertory light plot and light plots for locally produced events. * With the Theater Electrician, maintain all lighting equipment and keep starting and closing (end-of-season) inventories. This includes detailed lists of where all equipment came from and where it must be returned. * Maintain light plots and paperwork, including those materials developed for the Theater productions. * Coordinate with the Production Managers the ordering of all lighting materials, supplies, and rentals and coordinate their proper delivery and subsequent return or storage needs. * Stay within the lighting budget and compromise when necessary. * Attend all Theater technical and dress rehearsals as deemed necessary by the Production Managers, and all event load-ins and rehearsals as deemed necessary by the Production Managers. * Coordinate the scheduling of Production Technicians for electrical calls, hangs, and focuses with the Production Managers. The final crew calls and schedules will be the responsibility of the Production Managers. * Supervise the proper training of any Park personnel required to operate lighting control systems. * Work with the Lighting Designer(s) towards the realization of their designs. * Help to cost out Theater shows and events lighting needs with the Lighting Designer(s) and/or Production Managers, when necessary. * Research and build all Cain Park Theater practicals and/or special effects, including their operating costs and operational safety requirements. * Deal with the power distribution needs for the Arts Festival. * Work with the City electricians for any additional power needs. * Maintain high safety levels at all times.
