*HATHAWAY BROWN THEATRE INSTITUTE* *PRESENTS “INTO THE WOODS” August 5-7, 2016* *Find out what happens after “happily ever after”in Sondheim’s beloved musical theatre tribute to fairy tales* SHAKER HEIGHTS, OHIO – Hathaway Brown Theatre Institute concludes its 2016 summer season of hits with the acclaimed musical *INTO THE WOODS, **a modern *adaptation of classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, presented at Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, for three more performances August 5-6 and 7th. Lapine and Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together *with an epic fairy tale about wishes, family and the choices we make.* The TONY Award-winning book and score are enchanting and moving, and were the basis for the hit movie starring Meryl Streep. The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays, August 5 & 6 at 7:30 pm; and Sunday, August 7 at 2:00 PM.
