FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 25, 2022 The Millennial Theatre Company will perform Grease the Musical at The Youngstown Playhouse! *YOUNGSTOWN, OH* – The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) will perform Grease the Musical, in collaboration with The Youngstown Playhouse, Friday July 29 and Saturday July 30 at 7:30pm, Sunday July 31 at 2:30pm, Friday August 5 and Saturday August 6 at 7:30pm, and Sunday August 7 at 2:30pm. Grease the Musical tells the story of Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: Duck-tailed, Hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys” and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through all the hit songs that have become the soundtrack of a generation! Director Joe Asente explains that Grease the Musical is one of the largest musicals MTC has ever mounted, “When people come to see Grease, most have certain expectations that need to be met, and no expense was spared in producing our production to ensure that those expectations were not just met, but exceeded.
