Unruly Grandeur presents medieval pageants this weekend
This summer, a group of professional Cleveland artists will take part in an international festival, York Plays 2025. The festival is a collaborative effort to stage the fifty plays of the medieval York Corpus Christi Cycle in a single day, hosted by the University of Toronto. We will be one of seventeen performance groups traveling from across North America to be part of this event. But first, we are sharing our pageants with our local Cleveland audience. Come out to Lincoln Park, Tremont, to see our performances of Pageant 13, “Joseph’s Troubles about Mary,” directed by Kelly Elliott, and Pageant 31, “The Trial Before Herod," directed by Charlene V. Smith on Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st, at 2pm. The pageants will be followed by a short Q&A. $10 suggested donation. The pageants are performed by: Chelsea Cannon, Chennelle Bryant-Harris, Emery Cohen, Jailyn Sherell Harris, Katie Wells, Michael J. Montanus, Mike Frye, and Stuart Hoffman. The production and design team is: Julia Fisher, Katherine Nash, Katie Wells, Liam Thomas Daley, Meganne Evans, and Mike Frye.
