Shakespeare in the Square 2017 Auditions "Taming of the Shrew" Director: Jennifer Dove Dates: Monday June 5th and Wednesday June 7th Time: 7-9 PM Location: Medina County Administration Bldg. (Choral Room) 144 N. Broadway St Medina, OH 44256 Production dates: August 10th , 11th , 12th 2017 Rehearsals will begin June 21st Shakespeare in the Square will hold open (ages 16 and up) auditions for the outdoor production of "Taming of the Shrew" to be held in the historic Medina Square August 10, 11, 12 2017. While Shakespeare's original script, albeit heavily edited, will be used, this production will be a non-traditional updated version presented in a Rockabilly setting. So bring your Elvis attitude and your Marilyn moxie! Ladies Please Note: As usual Shakespeare has been awfully stingy with the female roles in this comedy. Along with the leads of Katharina and Bianca some of the traditionally male characters are being adapted to allow for more female roles. Audition Requirements: Cold reading from the script. Please bring a headshot and resume if you have them, but it's not required and your calendar with ALL conflicts between June 21st and August 12th.
