Shakespeare’s poetry for the Actor Associate Professor of Theater Dr. Jerry Jaffe will be offering a one-day acting workshop on Shakespeare. The emphasis will be on how the poetry of the writing can help the actor create a more meaningful performance. This will include rhyme, meter, imagery and (of course!) iambic pentameter. This workshop is open to all members of the community. All levels of experience welcome, beginner to advanced, and all ages from high school on may participate. We will work on sonnets, soliloquies, and short scenes. Date: January 3 Time: 6-8pm Location: Lake Erie College Royce Hall for Fine and Performing Arts 391 W.
