Sign-up to let us know you are coming: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B49A9AB2FABF85-53823071-byebye - Sing a song in the show's style - Prepare to dance & move - Read scenes from the script "Bye Bye Birdie" tells the story of Albert Peterson, a music manager whose biggest client, rock and roll star Conrad Birdie, is drafted into the army, forcing Albert to come up with a publicity stunt to save his career by having Birdie perform one last song on "The Ed Sullivan Show" and give a farewell kiss to a randomly selected female fan, a small-town girl named Kim MacAfee, before he leaves for military service; this plan brings chaos to Kim's life and the lives of those around her, including Albert's long-suffering girlfriend, Rosie Alvarez, who has her own battle going with Albert's over-bearing momma, Mae. While sprinkled with fun and light-hearted teenage romance, Bye Bye Birdie also explores the complexities of personal relationships, and how the layers of chauvinism, prejudice and obsessions weave their way into their lives at all ages.
