May 26, 2016 *FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE* *CALLING ALL MAGICIANS…* CANTON, OH – Calling all up and coming conjurers, prestidigitators, magicians, illusionists, wizards and more! The Players Guild is seeking video submissions from youth magicians who would like to have a chance at performing along-side world-renowned mentalist, Angela Funovits, and local illusionist, (and Players Guild Artistic Director) Josh Erichsen, during the Guild’s magic and illusion show, THEATRE OF MAGIC, on June 24 and 25. Magicians between the ages of 9 and 17 years old are invited to create and submit a 90 second or less video featuring their best sleight-of-hand demonstration, illusion or other magic-related act, by Wednesday, June 15. Two winners will be selected by the Players Guild Theatre and will be given a 5 to 10 minute time-slot to perform a portion of their act on the Mainstage during a performance of THEATRE OF MAGIC. Winners will also receive 2 complimentary tickets to the show along with a one-on-one meet and greet and magic training session with Angela Funovits and Josh Erichsen, as well as a Players Guild Theatre gift pack. Participants are asked to upload their 90 second or less video to Youtube and email the video link to magic@playersguildtheatre.com or share the link on the THEATRE OF MAGIC facebook page. Winners will be notified by Friday, June 17, 2016. The Magic is back! It can only be seen to be believed. *THE ESCAPE* A death-defying escape from a straight jacket while hanging high above the stage from a burning rope – yes, you read that correctly!
