Our previous films have screened at numerous festivals, including the New York Independent Film Festival, the Cleveland International Film Festival, the Cincinnati Film Festival. Seeking: [MIN-HEE SUNG]Korean woman, 30 – 50. She is trying to help her sister stay in the USA. She translates for her as she is meeting her potential husband in a sports bar. ACTORS OF DIFFERENT ETHNICITIES WILL BE CONSIDERED — actor does not need to speak Korean, although that is preferred. 1 day of shooting. Story line: TECHNICALLY, MARVIN is the story of Marvin -- an overweight and uncouth schlub -- who is looking for love and companionship through a green card marriage. He drafts the help of a few friends to make a good impression to his potential fiancee, Mi-Young. Mi-Young decides to go ahead with the sham marriage based on the good impression she got from his friends, but Marvin tries to move the relationship a little too fast. She decides that she can make a better go of it back home and Marvin finds that he doesn't need to concoct a big scam to find love.
